In recognition of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, we will be hosting a virtual public panel discussion. The discussion will  addresses the legacy of 9/11, both domestically and globally.

Panelists:

Gen. John Rutherford Allen, USMC (Ret.), President, the Brookings Institution; former commander of the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and U.S. Forces in Afghanistan

Razia Iqbal, Anchor, NewsHour, BBC World Service

Introduction and commentary by Amb. Daniel Kurtzer, the S. Daniel Abraham Professor of Middle East Policy Studies at the School, and former U.S. ambassador to Israel and Egypt

Moderator & wrap up by Jacob Shapiro, a professor of politics and international affairs at Princeton, and director of the Empirical Studies of Conflict Project

NOTE: This is the first of two panels that will mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11. A second panel will be held on Tuesday, Sept 21 at 4:30 p.m. ET. This event will be open to SPIA students and faculty only, and will be held on-site at Robertson Hall.
