Global Health Colloquium: Transforming New Jersey’s Health and Social Services Network in Response to Federal Changes in Medicaid and SNAP

Dr. Stephen Cha is the Commissioner of Human Services for the State of New Jersey, where he leads the state’s largest department, serving millions of New Jerseyans through programs that support access to health care services, child and family supports, and economic assistance. A trained primary care physician, Dr. Cha served in high-level federal health policy positions before coming to New Jersey. In this talk, he will discuss the impact of federal funding cuts on Medicaid and food assistance in New Jersey, and his experience as a physician working in public service in large, complex health and human services systems.
