Please join us for a presentation by one of the nation’s foremost experts on American public opinion. Gary Langer will visit Princeton to discuss our current national political situation with an assessment of how we got here – the underlying forces shaping political attitudes and the roots of division on Trump administration policies. The presentation will include a discussion of the condition of America’s fundamental promises to its people – security, liberty and the opportunity for prosperity – and a review of the social, demographic and economic forces influencing current political sentiment. A look at the structural dynamics of our elections will follow, culminating in prospects for the 2026 midterms ahead.
