As part of its 25th anniversary the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination at Princeton University (LISD) invites students, faculty to join a hybrid seminar of the Program on Religion, Diplomacy, and International Relations (PORDIR). Continuing a tradition established at LISD’s inauguration on December 10, 2000, PORDIR features eminent guest speakers from various religious traditions, career paths, and national, ideological, and philosophical standpoints.

Cultures, values, and beliefs are fundamental components of identity and community cohesion – they percolate into issues of self-governance, influencing communal, national, and regional interaction. Initiated in 2006 by Wolfgang Danspeckgruber and the Reverend Paul Brandeis Raushenbush, PORDIR explores the influence of religion, religious beliefs, and spirituality on the theory and practice of diplomacy and relations within the global actors' system.
