Please join us for a gripping HBO documentary that offers a rare, unfiltered look inside one of America’s deadliest prison systems. Filmed using secret cellphone footage recorded by incarcerated people themselves, the documentary exposes overcrowding, abuse, forced labor, corruption, and systemic cover-ups within Alabama’s Department of Corrections. What begins as a portrait of survival becomes a powerful story of collective resistance. Directed by Andrew Jarecki ’85 and Charlotte Kaufman, and nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary.
