As part of the 25th anniversary of the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination (LISD), students, faculty, and staff are invited to join a hybrid seminar on contemporary issues of self-determination.
As LISD celebrates 25 years of existence – and 30 years of self-determination research at Princeton made possible by the Princely family of Liechtenstein – the project on State, Sovereignty, and Self-Determination is evaluating key research on self-determination in our times with a particular focus on the work of current undergraduate and graduate students at LISD. The resulting research works in progress are both theoretical and personal reflections on the relevance of self-determination, its many facets, and its dimensions for communities and states – particularly from the perspectives of the next generation. Experts and LISD alumni will employ this work as a base for commentary and discussion.
