Keely Swan
Biography
Keely Swan is the Associate Director of the Center for Policy Research on Energy and the Environment (C-PREE). In this capacity, she manages the center's research administration and initiatives, communication efforts, programmatic planning, financial management, student programming, staffing, and outreach.
Prior to joining Princeton University, Keely worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Priscilla King Gray Public Service Center (PKG Center). From 2013-2018, she managed the MIT IDEAS Global Challenge, a social innovation and entrepreneurship program for student teams working on community-engaged projects to improve quality of life for under-served populations. Keely previously spent several years managing an international campaign on human rights and gender-based violence at the Center for Women’s Global Leadership at Rutgers University. She also worked at Brandeis University as the coordinator for the Brandeis-India Initiative.
In 2007-08, she spent a year at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. Keely holds an MA in Anthropology from Brandeis University and a BA in International Studies from Franklin & Marshall College. Her Masters research explored international human rights policy-making processes at the United Nations Human Rights Council.
