Marie Burke
Biography
Marie was born and raised in the Philippines and has lived in several diverse cities, including Singapore, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, and Princeton. Her background includes event planning, student engagement and mentorship, alumni relations, operations and data management, marketing/sales, and resource development. She has worked as a Library Specialist for the Friends of the Princeton University Library at the Firestone Library, events coordinator at Grounds for Sculpture, house manager at Princeton University's Richardson Auditorium and McCarter Theater, and operations director at several sports and hospitality organizations. She has also provided fundraising and marketing/communications services to Habitat for Humanity International in the Philippines and National Kidney Foundation in Singapore where she worked with volunteers and donors.
Marie currently manages employer relations in the SPIA Graduate Career Development and handles logistics of all professional development events, among many other career services-related tasks. She is one of the chosen participants of the 6th Inclusion & Diversity Certificate Program beginning in Winter 2024 due to her commitment to self-development around diversity and inclusion and willingness to champion diversity and inclusion practices. Marie has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, and an M.B.A. from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (dean's list) in Manila, Philippines.
