The purpose of this conference is to better understand the political challenges and opportunities underpinning the construction of clean energy infrastructure, including but not limited to wind turbines, solar facilities, and transmission lines. Research presented will use empirical political science to explore how public opinion, political behavior, and institutional design — from local reforms, to state preemption, to federal incentives — can be leveraged to facilitate an abundant supply of low-carbon energy in the United States.
