With a month to go before the start of the 2024-25 academic year, summer remains in full swing. And what an eventful summer it has been. The U.S. presidential race was turned upside-down, there were consequential national elections in the United Kingdom and France, and the Paris Olympics are thrilling the world, among other notable happenings. (SPIA alumna Lizzie Bird ’17 is competing in the steeplechase for Great Britain.)
Things are equally busy at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs. Faculty members continue to publish prolifically, students are traveling the world on Policy Task Force trips, and SPIA alumni have had the chance to network with School leadership and staff in London, Chicago, Denver, and Seattle. Dozens of undergraduates from across the country came to campus for the Junior Summer Institute to develop their public policy skills. And members of the incoming class are already here for orientation sessions.
