Dear Princeton SPIA community,
As the country and the world continue to change with incredible speed and in profound ways, the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs (Princeton SPIA) remains committed to training and supporting policymakers prepared to offer solutions to its most pressing issues.
This year’s incoming graduate students are already on campus for summer programming to build community and prepare them for the fall semester. In just a few short weeks, the School’s returning MPA2s will arrive, as will our undergraduate students, ready to tackle their junior papers and senior theses along with their classes.
I’m proud that all of our rising second-year MPA students are completing summer internships – despite the ongoing and substantial changes at the federal level. Even in a challenging budget environment, we continue to fully fund these vital professional development opportunities, giving students front-row views of the many pathways to public service.
These varied options will be on full display in October at the University’s Many Minds, Many Stripes conference. I hope you can join us for three days of shared inquiry, community, and connections. Registration opens this month, and you can find more information on the conference website.
Finally, as our recent graduates take their next steps in a competitive job market, many are exploring opportunities across sectors. If you’re in a position to hire or refer a talented new graduate, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us or complete this form.
Princeton SPIA is committed to meeting the moment, through pioneering research, dedicated teaching, and a welcoming community whose members lift each other up every day. I thank you for being a member of this amazing community.
Warm regards,
Amaney Jamal
Dean
