SPIAction Newsletter — September 2025

SPIAction Newsletter

Dear Princeton SPIA community,

As we begin a new academic year, the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs continues to support our students and alumni in this time of transition. Effective policymaking requires vision and adaptability, and the School has put these skills to good use to assist our most important stakeholders. With agility and resilience, we are meeting the moment, more determined than ever to support those determined to be in service to the nation and humanity.

Our efforts include welcoming to campus speakers from a wide variety of fields, exposing students to the numerous paths to public service that are available to them; matching up students and alumni at coffee chats and career panels on campus and in Washington; helping all of our Master in Public Affairs students secure summer internships; and developing new courses to reflect a changing service-oriented landscape.

Perhaps our boldest commitment is to fully fund every graduate degree — all tuition and fees are covered 100%. We also fund the required summer internships for our MPA students. Regardless of changing global circumstances, the world will always need highly trained public servants. Our investment in students recognizes this crucial fact.

I am proud of our entire Princeton SPIA community and am confident that we will continue our proud legacy, convening the brightest minds for the greatest good, now and into the future.

Best wishes for a successful, meaningful semester.

Warmly,

Amaney Jamal

Dean
