Biography

Aogay earned a Bachelor in Arts and Law (BA-LLB) degree from the American University of Afghanistan and completed coursework towards a Doctor of Medicine from Kabul Medical University. Aogay is an Afghan Policy Lab intern responsible for the lab’s weekly news bulletin. She also works closely with other professionals in the lab, making policy recommendations related to humanitarian aid, civic space, women, and national healing and reconciliation. In addition to this internship, Aogay works as a legal assistant at D.I.R.E Legal Services, Interfaith Rise, providing legal assistance to Afghans in New Jersey, and as an adjunct instructor at the American University of Afghanistan in Doha, Qatar. As a former legal researcher, she has worked with the Black Feather Foundation, the only humanitarian organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, that provided legal and humanitarian aid. Aogay completed her summer internship at the International Peace Institute in New York.
