Alex is from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She holds an undergraduate degree from Brown University in ecology. At Brown, Alex became passionate about the natural environment and the role of public policy in shaping our relationship with it. After graduating in 2016, she worked for the Providence City Council as a policy analyst before serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama from 2017-2019. In Panama, she worked on environmental conservation efforts and environmental education in a rural community. From 2019-2020, she served as national coordinator for the Environmental Sector of Peace Corps Panama. She completed her summer internship with the White House Council on Environmental Quality. A former college sailor, Alex loves getting out on the water any chance she gets, and in her free time you’ll find her skiing, backpacking, playing ultimate frisbee, or cooking delicious meals.
