Biography
The son of Eritrean immigrants, Andom grew up in Mount Vernon, New York. He earned undergraduate degrees in political science and economics from Yale University and a master's degree in secondary special education. Andom taught middle school special education in New York City for the majority of his professional career. In 2019, he ran for Congress to represent NY-16, his hometown district of Southern Westchester and the North Bronx. Andom loves all things sports and travel. After the MPP, Andom intends to continue his work locally and with Eritrean justice organizations.
