Born and raised in Sunnyvale, California, Affiong attended UC Berkeley and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in public health and a minor in public policy. Before Princeton, Affiong worked at MDRC, a social policy research firm, on workforce development and housing mobility projects. At Princeton, Affiong is eager to deepen her expertise in housing policy and continue to explore the relationship between housing policy and public health. After completing her MPA, Affiong plans to return to the nonprofit sector. In her free time, Affiong likes to watch documentaries, study Japanese, and break her way out of escape rooms all over the country.
