Andrea Martinez
Biography
Andrea is a Mexican-American Juris Doctor international development professional, passionate about promoting good governance and self-empowerment. She has worked for international organizations, nonprofits, academic institutions, and government and has a diverse set of professional experiences. For example, she collaborated in the resolution of the Indus Waters Kishenganga Arbitration between India and Pakistan; revamped an Inter-American Development Bank accountability mechanism; and established the nomination and electoral process for representatives of UNEP’s Major Groups and Stakeholders. Andrea's post-graduate goals include promoting responsible data governance and institutional capacity building in developing countries through culturally sensitive policymaking.
