Annie Yu

Annie was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She studied public health and legal studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where she developed a passion for advancing health equity through public policy. After graduating, she moved to Washington, D.C., to work for the American Lung Association and conducted policy research to support initiatives improving Medicaid coverage and access to lung health and tobacco cessation services. Prior to arriving at Princeton, Annie worked at Acumen, LLC, where she analyzed the impacts of regulatory and legislative policy changes on Medicare outpatient services, clinical lab services, and quality reporting programs in collaboration with CMS. This past summer, Annie worked as a Building Blocks of Health Reform intern with United States of Care. After earning her MPA, she plans to apply a social policy lens to healthcare and remove barriers to accessing quality healthcare.
