Charles Fraser
Biography
Before Princeton, Charlie worked on strategy for the U.K.'s Presidency of the United Nations climate change negotiations, where he was part of the team that secured the landmark Glasgow Climate Pact, agreed by 197 countries at COP26. Prior to this, Charlie worked for the World Health Organisation in Cairo, Egypt, to support governments to implement better tobacco control policy across a region spanning Morocco to Pakistan. These experiences and others have driven his interest in the way states, institutions and individuals interact to influence socio-economic development and the transition to net zero, climate-resilient economies. Charlie studied philosophy of language, mathematics and politics at the University of Cambridge, where he learnt about asking good questions and the limits of a library education. He enjoys geopolitical debate, Cairene pop music, and activities involving mountains, for which he thinks the USA has a lot to offer.
