Chase Hannon
Biography
Originally from the Finger Lakes area of Upstate New York, Chase has spent the past twelve years working in conflict-affected and fragile contexts. He spent several years as a senior adviser to country-level NGO coordination mechanisms, providing conflict analysis and operational guidance to the humanitarian community in Sudan and South Sudan (2010-12), in various field offices throughout Afghanistan (2012-15), and in Israel-Palestine (Director, Gaza 2015-17). Chase transitioned his focus to political engagement, working as The Carter Center's Field Representative for the broader Syria context (2017-18), and since 2018 he has been a Political Affairs Officer with the U.N. Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), working in support of the peace process.
