A former police officer, prosecutor, and enlisted United States Army infantryman, Cory is interested in war work and police work. His dissertation explores how 21st-century Americans make cultural sense of war death and political use of their war dead. He lives with his wife Kristin and has three boys: Connor, Dayton, and Ulysses.
