Christopher Martin
Biography
Chris graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in government. Currently, a Lieutenant in the Coast Guard, his career has primarily focused on search and rescue and law enforcement missions at sea aboard three cutters. Most recently, he served as the Commanding Officer of USCGC DONALD HORSLEY, a Fast Response Cutter based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, charged with Coast Guard missions throughout the Central and Eastern Caribbean. He will be attending SPIA as the 2021 Coast Guard Fellow, and upon graduation will return to the Coast Guard in a follow on assignment at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Originally from Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, he is an avid fan of the New York Rangers, Mets, and Jets and enjoys playing golf, ice hockey, and running in his free time.
