Christopher Singletary

Christopher is a Major in the U.S. Army and a Foreign Area Officer (FAO) specializing in the Middle East, with over a decade of experience leading and integrating communications across special operations, interagency environments, and multinational partnerships. Commissioned through Army ROTC after earning a B.A. in modern languages from the University of North Georgia, he previously served at assignments in U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Special Operations Command – Europe, and has deployed numerous times into the Middle East and Europe. His expertise includes data architecture and information management, artificial intelligence and machine learning integration, coalition interoperability, and joint fires integration. Most recently, he completed advanced Arabic studies at the Defense Language Institute and went on to conduct research on defense modernization, regional security structures, and U.S. partnerships in the Middle East. At Princeton SPIA, Chris hopes to deepen his understanding of international relations, diplomacy, and security policy while exploring how cultural fluency and strategic communication shape modern statecraft. Following graduation, he plans to continue serving in the Army as a Middle East FAO focused on strengthening regional partnerships and advancing U.S. security cooperation efforts. Outside of work, he enjoys playing chess, collecting watches, and spending time with his wife and five daughters, who have become experts at adapting to military life and international moves.
