Originally from a small town in Connecticut, Emily attended Scripps College in Southern California and graduated in 2017 with a degree in environment, economics, and politics. Upon graduating, she served in AmeriCorps for a year with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, where she worked to augment the department’s capacity to address the health impacts of climate change. Then, over the next couple of years, she explored a related interest in law through working at a law firm and, most recently, engaging in Sacramento State's Judicial Fellowship in court administration. This past summer, she completed her MPA internship with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.
