Jason is a New Jersey native and thrilled to be returning to his home state. A career diplomat with the U.S. Department of State, he served as a political officer at the American Institute in Taiwan's Taipei Office and in prior assignments to the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, China, and the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam. In Washington, he has served as the Political-Military Officer in the Office of Chinese and Mongolian Affairs and as a Special Assistant to the Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs. He has studied Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, and French. Prior to public service, Jason was a management consultant with the Monitor Group. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, and good food.
