Juyoung Lee
Biography
Juyoung was born and raised in Korea and attended Sarah Lawrence College where she studied history, theater, music, and psychology. Her primary interest is actualizing all women and girls’ potential through policy and international development. At UNFPA Mongolia, she promoted the Telemedicine Project through which rural Mongolian women have access to quality ante- and postnatal care services. She had also volunteered in a grassroots movement to bring policy-level changes to safeguard women against online sexual violence. Most recently, she worked as a program manager at the Korea International Cooperation Agency’s Timor-Leste Office in GBV prevention, disaster risk reduction, youth development, and public health projects. Juyoung enjoys traveling, playing boardgames, scuba diving, singing, and spending time with her family and two cats.
