Biography
Originally from New York City, Jessica obtained her bachelor’s degree in political science and Latin American studies from Vanderbilt University. During her undergraduate career, she interned at the City Council of Medellin in Colombia and studied abroad in Santiago, Chile. Following graduation, Jessica taught English at a university in Quito, Ecuador, for nearly a year. Afterward, she moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked at the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) between 2016 and 2021. At PADF, she managed civil society and human rights programming in closed societies. She returned to PADF this past summer to work as a short-term consultant for her MPA internship. Jessica is also a Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellow and will be joining the Foreign Service after completing graduate school. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, boasting about NYC bagels and pizza, and cuddling with her cat Wasabi.
