Biography

Born into a family of public servants, Kantheera lived in various provinces in Thailand as her family moved with her father's rotating post. She studied economics at Thammasat University, Bangkok. During college, she led the Model U.N. as the president and represented Thai youth at the U.N. General Assembly in New York in 2013. Upon graduating in 2016, she joined the Bank of Thailand, where she specialized in economic analysis of the manufacturing production and investment promotion to report to the Monetary Policy Committee. She later joined Bangkok Bank, where she assessed the global economy and policy impacts on business environment and public-private partnership projects. She also volunteered at the Saturday School Foundation to organize extracurricular classes for disadvantaged students. Kantheera interned this past summer with Climate Finance Advisors, BLLC. She is passionate about poverty and inequality reduction, education, and human rights. She enjoys reading and watercolor painting.
