Originally from Kenya, Vyette calls Seattle, Washington, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, home. She majored in international studies at American University in Washington, D.C., and studied abroad at Sciences Po in France. Prior to Princeton, Vyette worked at Chemonics on business development for USAID projects in East and Southern Africa. This summer, she worked as an Africa Policy and Advocacy graduate intern with Mercy Corps. She’s interested in conflict resolution, governance, and transitional justice. Outside of the MPA program, Vyette is a professional dancer and is passionate about the performing arts.
