Baky is a career diplomat of Bangladesh with expertise in multilateral diplomacy. Prior to SPIA, he worked in Geneva, Beirut and Dhaka. While working in Rohingya refugee camps, he positively influenced many decisions of his government to better the Rohingyas’ lives and livelihoods. He dedicated himself to transforming and improving humanitarian assistance delivery through effective coordination and simplification of processes. He is an advocate of justice and accountability for the Rohingya. In Geneva, he facilitated several negotiations on human rights and humanitarian issues, particularly in human rights and climate change and the human rights of Rohingyas. He wants to pursue humanitarian diplomacy and human rights rigorously. Baky enjoys listening to classical music.
