Biography

Martina grew up in São Paulo, Brazil, despite being born in Argentina. She has a bachelor’s degree in social science from the University of São Paulo and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. She also holds a master’s degree in public administration and government from Fundação Getulio Vargas. As a public servant, Martina worked with different projects at the São Paulo City Hall. Most recently, she headed the team responsible for digitalizing public services and improving service delivery across the City Government. The experience awakened her interest in the transversal challenges of public policy and in the role of tech in government. Prior to that, Martina developed applied research on human rights and worked in a state-level agency for policy evaluation in São Paulo. During the summer of 2022, she completed an internship with the InterAmerican Development Bank in Washington, D.C. At SPIA, she is eager to explore ways local governments can foster innovation and improve their overall management capability.
