Marc Masson

Marc came to Princeton SPIA after nearly a decade of work in international development and labor rights. Before joining Princeton, he served as an International Relations Officer at the U.S. Department of Labor, where he oversaw international projects focused on combating child labor, forced labor, and other forms of labor exploitation in Mexico, Côte d’Ivoire, Tunisia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Pakistan. Previously, at the American Institutes for Research, Marc coordinated labor governance projects in Mexico, Georgia, and Honduras, and managed evaluations of international education, labor rights, and workforce development programs. He has also worked with the International Labour Organization in Egypt and the AFL-CIO Solidarity Center in Morocco. 

After graduating from SPIA, Marc hopes to continue advancing inclusive economic development and workers’ rights through trade policy, institutional capacity building, and worker-driven approaches to human rights due diligence in global supply chains. Outside of work and study, Marc enjoys hiking, camping, and adventures of all kinds. Most recently, he spent the summer riding a motorcycle from Mongolia to Poland.
