Maria Tatiana Forero Pabon
Biography
Tatiana is from Bogotá, Colombia, where she majored in business management with a minor in philosophy at Universidad de los Andes. Since graduating, she has centered her career on education as a driving force to promote social development. Prior to Princeton, she worked at the highest performing charter school organization in Bogotá, providing first-rate public education to over 11,000 students from some of the most vulnerable communities in the city. Before that, she worked for the Deputy Minister of Education as his private secretary. Tatiana is also a member of Teach for Colombia’s Board of Directors, an NGO that is part of Teach for All’s global network, like Teach for America. She first joined Teach for Colombia in 2015 as a teacher at a public school that Colombian singer Shakira donated to her hometown, Barranquilla, and in 2018 she was chosen as a member of Teach for All's Global Community of Practice in Education Policy. In the summer of 2022, she worked as an intern with the OECD’s PISA for Schools project in Paris. At SPIA, Tatiana seeks to strengthen policy analysis and evaluation skills to address major educational challenges in developing countries.
