Biography

Nadine was born and raised in Toronto before moving to Montreal for her undergraduate studies. After completing her bachelor's in environmental science at McGill University, Nadine joined the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). She spent 4 years based in Rome, Italy – at first supporting the WFP's use of geo-spatial data to inform emergency preparedness, before working to develop corporate tools to improve the design of cash-based transfer programmes. She then moved to Addis Ababa to support inter-agency cash coordination in Ethiopia. Her last position was in Xai-Xai, Mozambique, where she led the roll-out of WFP's first cash and voucher programmes in Gaza province in response to the drought emergency. While at Princeton, Nadine is eager to further explore the pressing questions of climate adaptation and environmental protection, and how they can be better integrated into sustainable development. She completed her summer internship working on the Climate and Behavior Project with the World Resources Institute. During her free time, Nadine also enjoys singing, playing the piano, dancing, and hiking. She is an avid traveller who loves learning new languages.
