Biography
Rachel grew up in Iowa City, Iowa. She went to Macalester College in Minnesota, where she studied economics and geography. After college, she worked for two years in economic consulting at Analysis Group where she conducted statistical and economic analysis to support government and corporate clients involved in civil litigation. She then spent the next two years working for the Kaiser Family Foundation, publishing data-driven policy research on the impact of the Affordable Care Act and health care access in the U.S. This past summer, Rachel interned with the Congressional Budget Office. At Princeton, she hopes to learn more about poverty alleviation and the social safety net.
