Biography

Sophie was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois, and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in mathematics and minoring in public health. After graduating, Sophie moved to San Francisco and joined Analysis Group, an economic consulting firm, and expanded both her healthcare knowledge and analysis skills through cases for pharmaceutical and insurance companies during her tenure. To pursue a career in the not-for-profit health sector, Sophie joined Stanford University, where she researched the development and deployment of interventions to prevent sexual assault against college women. Sophie has a sustained interest in issues related to women's health, with current interests in creating and implementing evidence-based healthcare policy reforms focused on providing women in the U.S. better access and higher quality of care. This summer, she interned with the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety in the Division of Civil Rights. In her free time, Sophie enjoys exploring nature, cooking, and playing board games.
