I’m pleased to share a new resource that provides updates on President Christopher L. Eisgruber’s charge to confront systemic racism at Princeton University and beyond. The new racial equity website provides updates about related University initiatives, as well as timelines and opportunities to offer input and feedback.

President Eisgruber’s June 2020 announcement was just the first step in a long-term strategic process. As we move forward, Cabinet officers and other campus leaders will be developing detailed plans related to each of the identified areas and other projects still under consideration. I am already engaged in this work and look forward to continuing our progress.

On the new website you’ll also find relevant news and events, and a sampling of initiatives led by academic departments, including SPIA’s reviews of both the MPA core curriculum and the undergraduate concentration curriculum. I hope you’ll take the opportunity to explore the site, revisit it often, and share your ideas for change. By combining our best thinking and addressing difficult truths, we have the power and responsibility to create a culture at Princeton that is welcoming and equitable for all.
