Felten Advocates for Enhanced Data Security Before the U.S. Senate
On Oct. 6, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation held a hearing to discuss consumer privacy and data security.
Edward Felten provided three recommendations for the Federal Trade Commission to strengthen consumer protection: greater civil penalties, a strong rule-making framework, and empowerment of the technology workforce.
