American Economic Association Names Krueger Vice President

Alan Krueger has been selected as one of two vice presidents of the American Economic Association for 2017.

Krueger is the Bendheim Professor of Economics and Public Policy at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and director of Princeton’s Survey Research Center. He served as chairman of President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers from 2011 to 2013.

Krueger will share the post of vice president with Valerie A. Ramey, professor of economics at the University of California, San Diego.

The American Economic Association, established in 1885, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, scholarly association dedicated to the discussion and publication of economics research.
