Senior Parnagian to Focus on US Underserved Communities through FellowshipPrinceton University senior Melissa Parnagian has been awarded a Sheila C. Johnson Fellowship from Harvard Kennedy School, a full tuition scholarship for graduate students with a demonstrated interest in developing leadership skills focused on reducing disparities in underserved communities in the United States.Parnagian, from Parlin, New Jersey, is a major in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and is pursuing a certificate in American studies. The Society of American Historians has elected Julian Zelizer as a new member, recognizing the literary and scholarly distinction of his historical writings.Zelizer is the Malcolm Stevenson Forbes, Class of 1941 Professor of History and Public Affairs at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Princeton Faculty Awarded Funding for Innovative Education Research Projects

Six faculty members at Princeton University will receive funding to work on innovative, cross-disciplinary education research projects over the next two academic years.More than $500,000 was awarded to Will Dobbie, Sara S. McLanahan, Eldar Shafir, Nicole Shelton, Stacey Sinclair and Casey Lew-Williams by the Overdeck Education Research Innovation Fund.The fund was created by the Overdeck Family Foundation, which donated $1 million to the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs to support cross-disciplinary research projects across campus involving quantitative data analysis.Funds will be distributed in the 2016-17 and 2017-18…
