Michael D. Tubbs is the former mayor of the City of Stockton CA. Elected at 26, Tubbs was Stockton’s first African-American mayor and the youngest mayor of any major city in America.
During his tenure as mayor, Tubbs worked to secure $20 million to launch Stockton Scholars, which provides scholarships for Stockton’s youth.
