Biography

Nadia Crisan has been the Executive Director of the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination (LISD) since 2020. She manages a comprehensive portfolio ranging from LISD’s programming, administration and personnel issues, communications, and research to budget and financial management. In 2022, Nadia developed the International Policy Associates (IPAs) Program, an experiential learning initiative for Princeton undergraduate students who plan to pursue careers in foreign policy and international business. As part of the IPAs Program, she advises students on academic and professional aspects, designs and executes international and domestic students' visits and hosts events and conferences.

Prior to joining Princeton University, Nadia served for 13 years as Senior Vice President of International Government Affairs at a major U.S. law firm with responsibility for negotiating large transactions and providing strategic advice to private and public investors across the globe. She is a former diplomat who served in Washington for 4 years, focusing primarily on transatlantic security and economic policy matters.

Nadia earned her master's degree at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and taught international relations in the U.S., Europe and South America. She is also a foreign policy analyst and commentator, with a particular emphasis on Central and Eastern European affairs.
