Isaiah Wonnenberg
Biography
Born and raised primarily in South Dakota, Isaiah also lived in Mozambique as a child. He graduated with a B.A. in political science from the University of South Dakota. Upon his graduation in 2015, Isaiah began working for a home state senator in Washington, D.C. Isaiah soon transferred to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, where he worked on aviation, space, science, and aviation security issues. Throughout his time in the Senate, Isaiah and his colleagues developed and managed many bills that were enacted into law, including the Federal Aviation Administration Authorization Act of 2018, the Transportation Security Administration Modernization Act of 2018, and the National Quantum Initiative Act, and held numerous hearings on a broad variety of topics. Isaiah left the Senate as a professional staff member for the Subcommittee on Aviation and Space. This summer, he completed an internship working with Princeton University Professor Steven Strauss. He looks forward to developing his quantitative analysis skills while at Princeton to better position him to implement transportation and technology policy in his career.
