Kacie Rettig
Biography
Originally from the Jersey Shore, Kacie attended the College of William & Mary and graduated cum laude with a double major in economics and history in 2016. Upon graduation, she worked in federal and economic consulting but found her passion in policy after working in the House of Representatives and serving as a policy fellow on a congressional campaign. Starting in 2018, Kacie worked as a member of the legislative team for Senator Dianne Feinstein focusing on environmental and natural resource issues. In the Senate, Kacie drafted legislation, advised the Senator, and supported efforts to expand the conservation of public lands, protect sustainable fisheries, and combat climate change. For her MPA internship, she worked with the City of New York, Taxi and Limousine Commission as a graduate policy intern. After completing her MPA, Kacie hopes to continue to work in environmental and energy policy to build a more sustainable and resilient future. In her free time, she likes to spend time with friends, run (slowly), or be anywhere near the water.
