Nash is a global health practitioner with seven years’ experience working in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. She is passionate about strengthening primary healthcare systems and working with countries to promote universal health coverage. Prior to coming to Princeton, Nash worked as a manager at Global Health Strategies (GHS), a consulting firm that utilizes the mutually reinforcing tools of advocacy and communications to impact health policies, practices, and funding. At GHS, Nash led projects on maternal and newborn survival, immunization, universal health coverage, and health financing. She played a central role in building GHS’s presence in East Africa. Nash is also a passionate feminist and women’s rights activist. She is a thought leader on innovations to end Female Genital Cutting (FGC), especially through working hand-in-hand with communities to engender long-term change. Nash also sits on the board of Let Maasai Girls Learn, a foundation that seeks to create opportunities for Maasai girls to complete their education, escape retrogressive cultural practices and fully take charge of their lives. This past summer, she completed her MPA internship with The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Nash holds a double bachelor’s degree in global health and international comparative studies from Duke University and completed her A-level studies at the African Leadership Academy in South Africa.
