Travis Frederick
Biography
Travis is a first-generation college student from Ohio, a fifth-year Ph.D. student in the security studies cluster, and a graduate researcher in Princeton’s Socio-Cognitive Processes Lab. His work combines a methodological interest in applied psychology and natural experiments with subject matter expertise in Russian military affairs. His dissertation explores the intersection of Russian information-psychological security and state history policy. He has worked professionally as a Russia analyst at U.S. Northern Command, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and in the Executive Office of the U.S. Ambassador in Moscow. Travis has completed fieldwork on military affairs and collective memory in Russia, Estonia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Argentina.
