Zelizer Named Distinguished Senior Fellow at the New York Historical Society
Professor Julian E. Zelizer has been named the distinguished senior fellow at the New York Historical Society, one of New York City’s oldest museums and an epicenter of U.S. history in the city and country.Zelizer is the Malcolm Stevenson Forbes, Class of 1941 Professor of History and Public Affairs at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He will spend his one-year sabbatical as a fellow at the Society, working on a new book about the life of Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. WWS Reacts: U.S. Embassy Moved to Jerusalem, Protests Spark
The United States moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem this morning, sparking protests by Palestinians who attempted to cross the border fence between Israel and Gaza. Kurtzer Receives Distinguished Achievement Award from Columbia University

Daniel Kurtzer is winner of the 2018 Dean’s Award for Distinguished Achievement, presented annually by Columbia University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.This award celebrates graduates who represent the best in the School’s alumni body.
