Scovronick, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education at Woodrow Wilson School, to Retire
After 25 years at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Nathan Scovronick, associate dean for undergraduate education, will retire, effective Jan. 1, 2019.Scovronick has led the undergraduate program, managing its curriculum and overseeing student advising, research and internship funding and the undergraduate budget.The undergraduate program is a multidisciplinary major focused on public policy. Funding Available for Innovative Education Projects and Programs
A fund offered through Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs will support creative, interdisciplinary research projects and programs addressing important issues in education.The Overdeck Education Innovation Fund will award up to $1,000,000 totalling $333,333 a year over the next three years for multiple faculty and student research projects and/or programs involving quantitative data analysis to support findings with broad relevance and application. Woodrow Wilson School Centers Announce New Leadership
Two professors at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs have been named to leadership positions for two of the School’s centers and programs.Kathryn Edin, professor of sociology and public affairs, is co-director of The Bendheim-Thoman Center for Research on Child Wellbeing (CRCW). A book by professor Rafaela Dancygier was named the winner of the 2018 Stein Rokkan Prize for Comparative Social Science Research.“Dilemmas of Inclusion: Muslims in European Politics” examines how minority groups are integrated into politics and explores how this inclusion influences the nature of party politics and electoral cleavages.Dancygier is an associate professor of politics and public affairs at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and specializes in comparative politics, with a focus on the implications of ethnic diversity in advanced democracies.
