Lindsey Guinther, Director of Environmental Affairs at Lightsource bp, is a trailblazer in the renewable energy sector with over 17 years of industry experience. Her expertise in project siting, spatial modeling, and climate resilience has been instrumental in advancing nearly 4 gigawatts of executed projects. 

Lindsey joined Lightsource bp, a leading developer, financier and operator of utility-scale renewable energy projects in 2020, where she spearheads the company's global climate and disaster resiliency initiative. Her role involves integrating robust mitigation strategies for natural hazard events across all stages of project development, construction, and operations. This comprehensive approach ensures the creation of a resilient portfolio of renewable energy projects, crucial in the fight against climate change. Her innovative use of GIS tools and natural hazard risk data has been pivotal in implementing avoidance and mitigation strategies, significantly improving project resilience and insurability. Lindsey received her BA in Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Colorado and her MS in Geography from the University of South Carolina.  Her unique academic background and her extensive industry experience in renewable energy has established Lindsey as a leader in advancing sustainable and resilient renewable energy development.
