Scholars in the Nation’s Service Initiative (SINSI)
The Scholars in the Nation’s Service Initiative (SINSI) encourages students to consider careers with the U.S. federal government. SINSI offers a four-year program open to all Princeton undergraduates, and to students who are in the first year of our MPA program. In this graduate fellowship, students study for a year in the MPA program, work for two years at an executive branch department or agency with a fully paid stipend, and then complete the master’s program. SINSI also supports a summer internship program for Princeton undergraduates.

Emma Treadway’s senior thesis embraces the classics to inform policymaking for public education
For her senior thesis, Emma Treadway, a member of the Class of 2022, considers how the basic tenets of Stoicism — a school of philosophy that dates from 300 BCE — can teach students to engage empathetically with the world and address inequities in the classroom. She is photographed here in East Pyne Hall, home to the Department of Classics.
